Y'know, this used to be a really random journal with non-friends only posts. So here you lot go. A nice random post.
Quotes of the day: After Chris has called Mr. Buckman short or compared him to a midget... Chris: Chihuaha's are short too and everybody thinks they're cute! Mr. Buckman: Thanks Chris. Me: Dude, you just compared him to a chihuahua.
After Nick has ripped David's bookbag strap off at the top... the lunch bell rings... *David picks up his bookbag and starts feeling around for the other strap and then looks down and sees it hanging there* David: Damnit! *he turns to see me laughing my ass off* Was it you?! Me: No! *still laughing my ass off* David: ...NICK YOU BASTARD! *runs away*
And for old times sake... *runs to grab the dictionary*... The word of the day is: fire, n., v. fired, firing. n. 1. burning. 2. deep feeling. 3. discharge of guns. -v.t. 4. set fire to. 5. discharge, as of a gun. --fireproof, adj.
Now screw you guys, we're having Papa John's delivered. |

This is my first public entry in a while since I haven't had any good randomness to post. But now... I want to post the lyrics to this Ben Kweller song I really, really like. I suggest that all of you download this song to see if you like it then buy his cds. Soon as I've got money I plan on doing just that... Anyway the lyrics (now that I read them) are very weird, but I still like the song.

Okay I'm actually going to use this thing as a journal now. If you want to be able to read regular journal-like entries then comment and I'll add you as a friend. I'm still probably going to update with nonsense that anybody can read too, but regular journal entries are friends only. So yeah.
I came up with a recipe earlier that I like. I was using it as an away message a few minutes ago. Here is the new recipe by me.
How to make a Sarah's Playlist: Add 5 songs by CKY, 5 songs by Oasis, 4 songs by Ben Kweller, 1 song by Eve 6, and 1 Aqua Teen Hunger Force theme song. Shuffle. Repeat.
I thought it was cool anyway. |

School is coming way too fast. Today schedules came out. Gah. I don't have C++ or Drama till 2nd semester. That makes me sad... Of course I don't have Math till then either so that's a good thing. I have the schedule in my profile for those of you who have AIM but I'm gonna post it in here anyway for anybody else. I know quite a few people who have AOL and don't have AIM...
First Semester: 1st - chemistry - taylor 2nd - dsktp pres - bowers 3rd - va/us hist/a - buckman 4th - off adm 1 - bailey
Second Semester: 1st - drama - gibbons 2nd - eng 11 t/a - mccullen 3rd - mh anlys - johnson 4th - computer program - young
So if we've got any classes together, let me know so I can figure out if I actually know anybody in my classes ;) I'm already pretty sure I'm going to be in a class full of freshmen in Drama... heh. Oh well.
And the word of the day is: seductive, adj. tempting; attractive. |

I just found out the best news like... ever! My mom said I can go visit Erica in Mass. for a week or two before school starts! THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!
*takes calming breath*
I'm okay. Honestly. Just practically falling off my seat with bouncy-happiness.
Anyway, as for the entertaining entry of the day... er... Well I have nothing. Gimme a sec. *rummages through favorites*... *finds nothing*... *looks for some kind of lyrics*
Okay so maybe I really don't have anything. For that I'll just give you a word of the day. At least I'm posting though! The news about going to Erica's really is the highlight of my summer though...

For those of you who actually read my info, you will have read these most likely. See I got a notebook a few days ago to jot stuff down since I have such a horrible memory. So, of course writing down funny quotes seemed like a good idea. So, here's a few.
"...but it gets me no tail if you understand the vernacular." -Wayne (think that was his name) on Aqua Teen Hunger Force
"Look at Jesus, standing there all alone. It seems like those bulldogs would invite him to their cardgame." -Stewie from Family Guy
"Ah, Llamapalooza." -Carl (?) from Jimmy Neutron
"Wanna scream?" -Yuna from FFX
*And finally, another brother/sister moment from last night.*
Me: You're melodramatic. Logan: What do you mean? Me: You overreact to everything. I say two funny things in a row and you laugh till you almost explode. You get mad and cry or throw something... or try to break a pencil. *significant look* Logan: *a little laughter*... *goes to get thrown pencil from tantrum earlier*... *while standing back up, hits head on doorknob*... *stands back up crying* OWWWWWW Me: OH EW! SHUT YOUR MOUTH! I CAN SEE FOOD! Logan: *starts laughing and crying simultaneously for a good five minutes*
**AND TODAY'S WORD OF THE DAY: I actually chose this one. It's in one of the quotes above and I'm proud to say that I actually know the meaning (thanks to Coach Miles making it a vocab word quite a few times in World History last year)**
vernacular, adj. 1. locally native. -n. 2. language characteristic, esp. of a particular group or class. |

Yesterday I had fun with OpenCanvas (art program). I did one picture for the Rupert Grint birthday project (yes I'm a senseless fangirl) with Spongebob people trying to be Harry Potter people. The other pic I REALLY like. I drew it first then took a digital pic of it. That was like... a long time ago. So I found it in my photobucket account, put it into OpenCanvas, and voila! Lovely artwork. Check out my gallery here:
http://grimdani.deviantart.com/gallery/
Plus I'm posting the brother/sister thing from my info into here so I can link to my gallery in there. This is actual bits of conversation from me & my little brother, Logan.
logan: 'cos you're a loser? me: that's beside the point
me: *hits a button* noooo logan: no ho? me: hahaha, you said ho
logan: your mama me: don't talk about my mama!
me: *yells* holy monkeys! logan: hey! i'm a monkey! me: yeah well holy is a good thing, so now you're a stupid monkey
logan: can i play on the computer? me: not until you learn the holy language! zvjoiadpfia logan: asdfoiapsidf me: *gasp* how dare you speak about my mother that way! logan: safdoupoiwuer me: AND NOW MY FATHER TOO?!
me: you got hit by a train! hahaha!
**PLUS an extra that wasn't even in my info from this morning:**
Logan: *throws pillow* The pillow liiikes you. Me: *throws it back* Now it likes youuuu. Logan: *throws down* Now it likes the floooor. *both laugh* Me: That's one confused pillow. Is it a boy or a girl 'cos I mean, it went for both of us Logan: It's like the elemental blob from Final Fantasy X in Macalania Woods, except it doesn't change elements, it changes from boy to girl. Me: ...IT'S AN ELEMENTAL PILLOW! |

I have 3 new icons that I found while scanning online for some new cool ones I liked. If you wanna see all three and don't know how, click to view my info and then click the pic of my current default pic ("Aw shucks")
The default one ("Aw shucks") is from: http://www.swallowingshadows.nu/nefarious/
The Draco one is from: http://taod.wiseguru.net/ljicons.php
The Snape one is from: http://img12.photobucket.com/albums/v36/cleolinda/movies_in_fifteen_minutes/
That last one has more icons, you just have to scan the album. That particular part of the album has King Arthur and HP icons. So, check 'em out if you have an LJ or even if you're just insanely bored and feel like it.
Today's word of the day is: attend, v.t. 1. be present at. 2. accompany. 3. care for. -v.i. 4. be present at a meeting, etc. 5. give heed. -attendance, n. I hope you're all enjoying these. It's no fun typing one-handed with your other hand holding the dictionary open. Hmph. :P |

I found the link to this in Daynae's journal ^^ I had done something like this last summer when me & Steff had ID up and running nicely and she taught Divination with a lesson on Arithmancy, but I never went beyond Character #. So, here's my results:
Character Number: 8 (general personality type) Heart Number : 1 (inner life; desires and fears hidden from others) Social Number: 7 (outer personality; the face shown to the world)
8 = Eight indicates the possibility of great success in business, finance, and politics. Eights are practical, ambitious, committed, and hard working. They can also be jealous, greedy, domineering, and power-hungry. Eight is said to be the most unpredictable of numbers and can indicate the pinnacle of success or the depths of failure; the potential to go either way is present from the beginning.
1 = This is the number of the individual, the solitary unit. Ones are independent, focused, and determined. They set a goal and stick to it. They are leaders and inventors. Ones find it difficult to work with others and don't like to take orders. They can be self-centered, egotistical, and domineering. They are often loners.
7 = Perceptive, understanding, and bright, sevens enjoy hard work and challenges. They are often serious, scholarly, and interested in all things mysterious. Originality and imagination are more important than money and material possessions. Sevens can also be pessimistic, sarcastic, and insecure.
Go check out your own results: http://www.sorcererscompanion.net/arithmancy.html
And finally the word of the day today is: schlemiel, n. Yiddish. a person who is a habitual failure. |

Can you tell I'm excited? I heart Inu Yasha. If you dunno what Inu Yasha is, it's an anime that comes on the Cartoon Network show Adult Swim every night at 12:30am. Great GREAT show and now I'm getting the books for it. Yay!
Earlier me & Erica were talking about Harry Potter last names and I mentioned that I know a couple people with HP last names. Riddle being one (looky ur famous!) and Potter as well (not a friend, but she goes to my school). Anybody else that doesn't go to my school that knows anybody with HP names?
The word of the day is:
sense, n., v.t., sensed, sensing. n. 1. sight, hearing, touch, taste, or smell. 2. impression obtained through one of these. 3. intuition regarding a situation. 4. often, senses, reason. 5. meaning. -v.t. 6. perceive by or as if by one of the senses
Wow, long definiton today. I hit a couple before that one but... skipped 'em. First one was race... second was gas. Not even going to say why on that second one. |

Woohoo, an entry with more than just a word of the day! But since I know you all look forward to these I'll put one in as well. So, without further ado, today's word of the day is...
flog, v.t., flogged, flogging. whip.
Wow, that's nice isn't it? Kinkeh. Anyway, I found my "Room On Fire" cd today by The Strokes so I'm going to post the lyrics to the title song, "Room On Fire."
So many fish there in the sea I wanted you, you wanted me That's just a phase, he's got the pass I was a train moving too fast
Didn't understand what to see Yeah, then I got a different view It's you now
Wait, I'm not gonna give you the break I'm not your friend, I never was I said, wait, I'm not gonna give you the break I'm not your friend, I never was, no
So many fish there in the sea She wanted him, he wanted me That's just a phase, he's got the pass I was a train moving too fast
Yeah, I know you're important But this is too important And now I got a different view Is you
Why can't you wait? I'm not gonna give you the break I'm not your friend, I never was I said you, wait, I'm not gonna give you the break I'm not your friend, I never was |
